ALTAI - The Way to Shamballa

As Indian Ramayana mentioned, during last ice period there was big white island behind of Himaliya mountians. It was Kingdom of Shamballa.Shamballa is a centre of high evolutionary energies in Central Asia. And Altai is heart of Asia.

The history of Altai is began by the scientists the Aphanasievskaya culture (fin. IV thousand B.C. to the first quarter II thousand B.C.) and Karakolskaya culture (fin. III – II thousand B.C.) which are characterized by the use of copper and bronze in making weapons, implements, domestic utensils and accessories. The representatives of the Aphanasievskaya culture were very tall (about 1,8 meters), the main peculiarity of their culture was the special burial – in the individual or twin graves the deceased were laid to the side with bent knees, the head was in the north-east or south-west. The representatives of the Karakolskaya culture made polychromatic drawings of animals and birds, characters in masks, people in animal skin and with bull horns, gods with a mask in the shape of sun on their heads, all these pictures were drawn on the flagstones of the coffins.

The next stage in the development of the Altaian tribes was the Pazyrykskaya culture (VIII-III century B.C.), the relics of which can be found every in the Altai Mountains: the burial mounds and different domestic appliances. The people of this culture were very skillful sculptors, wood and bone carvers, and masters of carpet making.

As far as Altai is in the very centre of Asia its history is connected with the history of big Asian countries. In III century B.C. the Pazyrykskaya culture d to the Hun-Samarskaya culture the Altaian land was under the ascendancy of Huns who settled in the Mongolian steppes. Since II till IV century A.D. Altaians lived under the ascendancy of Sianbijsty, and then till VI century they rendered the tribute of cooper to Zhuzhany who occupied Eastern Mongolia and Western Manchzhuria.

In the year 552 the domination of Zhuzhany has fallen and Turkic Kaganat appeared in the Central Asia. This is the beginning of the Turkic historical period of the Altaian lands. Kaganat had great power owning the lands Amu-Daria to the Caucasus to the Aral Sea and on to the borders of Persia and Byzantine. However in 588 under the influence of internecine wars and tense foreign affairs Kaganat broke to the West (in the valley of seven rivers) and the East (with the centre of Mongolia), until 660 when both parts of Turkic Kaganat were conquered by China. The natives of the Eastern Kaganat couldn’t put up with the Chinese yoke and under the leadership of khan Ilteres (Gudulu) they excited rebellion and set themselves free. The Second Turkic Kaganat appeared and under the thrusts of Uigurs it collapsed. Uigurian Kaganat under the leadership of khan Pejlo won the war with Turks and established friendly relations with China. The forerunners of Pejlo joined South Siberia to Kaganat.

After the collapse of Uigurian Kaganat in 840 year the Altaian tribes were subdued to Kirgizsky Kaganat founded by the Kirgizs the Enisey river, the ancestors of the contemporary Khakas. Then Altai became the lands of Kytay (Kara-kitay, Kidane), the legends of that time gave us this information. Towards the end of XII century Kytay were d by Mongolian Naimans, who were conquered by the Mongolians afterwards, and as a result Altai becomes a part of Djuchiev Ulus, owned by the elder son of Chingizkhan, after the collapse of Ulus Altai becomes the part of White Horde and to the beginning of XV century – the part of Siberian Khanate.

But this is not the end, in XV century Altai is under the ascendancy of Ojrots, or Western Mongolians (who are known as Djungars). Their influence lasted till 1756 then it was conquered by China. Since that time Altaian tribes became part of Russia.

Only,on 1962 Soviets,Chinese and Mongolian governors signed to divide Altai into 3 main parts.Later, on 1991,Kazakhstan got it’s part of Altai from Soviets
